This is just a quick general communication to subscribers about upcoming plans.
Firstly, as I’ve noted before, I will be shutting this subscription site down in the near future and it will revert to supporting Debunking Economics. That is likely to happen in October, when this current ridiculous trip is over and I have something resembling spare time back in Sydney.
Secondly, at that same stage I may establish something like this site as a much cheaper option within Debtwatch. I really appreciate how well everyone here has taken the site offering a lot less than it originally promised when it turned out to be a commercial failure at that level of support. With what the site now offers–just immediate and full access to my weekly blog, without having to log on to Business Spectator–I’d be much happier setting a much lower fee (of the order of $2-$5 a month–feedback welcome on this point).
Thirdly, a group of supporters in Seattle (where I am right now) are attempting to organize a US-based not-for-profit to support my research. They will soon get in touch with you about this: this is just to confirm that it’s a bona fide group, and the emphasis is entirely on supporting my research rather than–as this site originally was–an attempt at a for-profit venture.
